What is ABWA?
When women get together, amazing things can happen. And that’s just what the American Business Women’s Association is all about — women joining forces to further themselves professionally and personally.
Founded in 1949 by Hilary A. Bufton Jr., a Kansas City, Mo., businessman, ABWA is a 35,000 member strong association with chapters nationwide.
Each year, members have many opportunities to come together at the regional and national levels at ABWA’s district spring conferences and the annual national leadership conference. These events offer women the opportunity to build an expanded network, participate in accredited continuing education seminars and hone their leadership skills. ABWA members are diverse. We are small business owners, employees of large corporations, teachers, government workers, students, sales, technical and crafts people.
Succeeding today is all about what you know, whom you know and who knows you... And ABWA provides these advantages.
